On October 14, 2010 from 18.00 in the central hall of the National Archaeological Museum in Sofia opened the exhibition "Shadows of the afterlife. Necropolis of ancient Nessebar. A total of 149 exhibits dating from the mid-fifth century BC to the 14th century, will be presented in the exhibition.
The exhibition presents the results of archaeological excavations of the necropolis of the ancient and medieval town Mesambriya (Messemvria) in the past years. Emphasis in the exhibition is a bronze newly hydro - vessel for storing liquids, figurative application of the end of the fourth century BC and burial trove of exquisite gold jewelry products with a total weight over 200 grams of the middle of III century BC.
Exhibition is a joint initiative of the title of BAS and the Museum "Old Nessebar and will be open until March 2011.
